Glass-clad polycarbonate ballistic products are designed to provide high levels of ballistic protection with no-spall performance. Spall is the glass fragments that come off the “witness” side of a security glazing unit when it is subjected to physical or ballistic assault. Our ballistic products prevent potentially serious injuries that can be caused by spall. Our line of ballistic products are constructed with one or more glass plies toward the “attack” or threat side and a polycarbonate laminate toward the “witness” or safe side. The glass plies are bonded together with a PVB interlayer and the glass is bonded to the polycarbonate with a high performance TPU interlayer.
